In October 2019, the Sytel developers flew to Toulouse, France for their yearly retreat
Each year Sytel sends its technical teams on a weekend event. The purpose of this event is to encourage interaction in a non-work environment, to build collaborative skills and to generally put Sytel’s technical staff out of its comfort zone. The result (we hope) is an improvement of team spirit and ability to work as a cohesive unit.
On return they’re able to tackle any challenge Sytel throws at them!
Toulouse was the destination in October 2019. They stayed in a ‘huge’ farmhouse and when they weren’t paintballing, zorbing, axe throwing and hiking, they organised themselves into teams to cook. Oh, and there was a continuous queue for the hot tub!
They took a LOT of photos and there are some videos which will be posted here. They described their mini-break as ‘gallic sophistication blended with high jinks’ – from the look of the pictures there was probably a bit more more of the later …
