Job Role

Sytel produces a best-of-breed cloud contact center stack that encompasses ACD, predictive dialing, media processing, call center data management, and has well-defined APIs that allow us to deliver a cohesive, yet flexible customer portal at scale.

We are seeking an enthusiastic developer who has some server-side experience and wants to work in an environment where they will hone their development practice and software architecture skills.

This is a unique opportunity for a talented individual to work at the cutting edge of software development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a detailed knowledge of the existing software within the company and contribute to the design and development of new and existing services.
  • Design for scale and implement services that cope with the real-time environment of the Cloud.
  • Implement new services to extend the functionality and reach of Sytel’s cloud platform.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • C# Server Development (formal services, not ASP.NET!): An understanding of concurrent programming using .NET. When and whether
  • The ability to learn the requirements for developing server code and experience of writing web services
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Object Oriented principles and sound programming patterns.
  • Database (SQL or NoSQL): Understanding of database programming, with some experience using at least one database
  • Communications protocols: First principles knowledge of communications protocols. Specific protocol knowledge isn’t needed but a good understanding of ‘how and why’ is.
  • Version Control: Familiarity with version control systems.
  • Personal Skills: A willingness to learn – quickly – team working.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Cloud software development (Containers, design for cloud, exposure to AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies. Ability to write testable code.
  • Use of modern .NET (Versions 5-7)
  • Knowledge of the http/https protocol and WebSockets
  • Subversion version control.

  • Desenvolver um conhecimento detalhado dos softwares existentes na empresa.
  • Contribuir para concepção e desenvolvimento de novos serviços.
  • Manter os serviços legados.
  • Projetar pensando em escalabilidade.
  • Implementar novos serviços que ampliem a funcionalidade e o alcance da plataforma em nuvem da Sytel.

Habilidades & Experiência Necessárias

  • C# Server Development para serviços Windows.
  • Bom entendimento de programação concorrente usando .NET.
  • Habilidade de escrita de código testável.
  • Experiência no desenvolvimento de web API em C#.
  • Sólidos conhecimentos em orientação à objetos e padrões de projeto.
  • Banco de dados (SQL ou NoSQL): Entendimento de PL/SQL com alguma experiência em pelo menos um banco de dados.
  • Protocolos de comunicação: Conhecimento dos primeiros princípios dos protocolos de comunicação. Não é necessário um entendimento de um protocolo específico, mas uma boa noção do “como e porque”.
  • Familiaridade com algum sistema de controle de versão.
  • Habilidades pessoais: Vontade de aprender e trabalhar em equipe.

Habilidades & Experiência Desejáveis

  • Desenvolvimento para nuvem (Containers, design para nuvem, contato com AWS/Azure/GCP)
